A Homeschool Co-op
The School of Life is a DMV based collective of parents and their children who are seeking to do things differently. We understand that the children we have been given the pleasure of raising deserve a new learning environment, and together we are creating one that fosters liberation, creativity, innovation and awareness.
We believe that life is our greatest teacher and through living we can learn so much. We are not raising children to fit into boxes. We are raising well rounded independent thinkers with applicable life skills. We incorporate mindfulness and yoga into their learning so that they grow up to be present and have tools for moving through the stressors of life. We expose them to different cultures, people, and activities so they are diverse in their world outlook. And we encourage a deep reverence and understanding of nature as we recognize our Oneness with all that is.
As the parents, we do not claim to know everything. And many times, we are learning right alongside our children. But we do have the courage to create a new way. We are open to the journey. And we believe in the power of our presence in our children’s learning and lives.
This is the School of Life.
